Cheap And Cheerful Sunshine Holiday
I am looking at a holiday abroad this year and simply can not think about going away fir a week without the children. My partner has three, one has travelled , the two youngest haven't yet. We are looking at trying to get a week away in the dun on a budget.
Are there any suggestions as to destination, resort, any other hints/ tips / pitfalls about holidaying with teenagers welcome.
My partner reckons we should just go ( without the kids ) . I say they come...or we don't go !! Now, I need help as where to go !!!

Cape Verde is A.Mazing - although the older kids may get a bit bored as there isn't much to do.
Hmm, it's like sticking a pin into a map really.
I would stick with the Balearics or the Canary Islands, as it'll only take a few hours to get there.

Tenerife's got lots of options, 4 hours flying time from Gatwick. For the youngsters, water parks, zoos - not much in the way of natural beaches. Menorca is great but there is not so much for the teenagers - adults and little people love it! Costa del Sol is worth looking at too, loads of options there - 2.5 hours from Gatwick.
If it's on a budget then maybe somewhere like Club Mac in Mallorca see the link below. Depends on what you want and the ages of the children. A bit more info may help. Club Mac has free access to the water park next to it so plenty for children and has seven pools on site. It is a kind of Marmite place though, you either love it or hate it. Many other places on Mallorca though and only 2 hours flight from UK.

Thanks Boxy and shed man the 'children' are 16 and 13 but both immature and neither have ever flown before. It will be on a budget as my aunt has left me a little and I think a holiday would do us all good. I am easily pleased, my partner wants to see blue clean water and the girls would just be made up with going away ! Thanks again, going to look at the link x
ibiza is lovely,es cana is great really family friendly on the beach ,(no ravers or lagerlouts) in sightcheap self catering and really cheap to eat out and drink, lots of bars with kiddie areas to play, and we was only there last summer!buses are great to go round all the other resorts for 1euro50,and sea taxis are a great day out with the kids,we loved it.x
I agree with one of the others below.
Get a low cost to the Costa Dorada. (Reus airport). Very cheap flights.
Stay in either La Pineda, big waterpark there & enough bars & shops to keep you busy, or Cap Salou. Same as above.
I've been 8 times now.
Last one, Cap Salou, smaller then la Pineda but a 10min walk into Salou which is like Blackpool.
Buses & taxis all the time if you don't like the strolling
Fantastic beache in la Pineda & the water is hot & waist high for miles
