69. I have got Mark Bedford therefore 12 Marathon Man cannot be David Bedford. I know some people think its Jimmy Saville, but is there a place called Saville?

Sir Jimmy's surname is spelt SAVILE (only one L).


In full, Sir James Wilson Vincent Savile OBE, born 31/10/1926


Seville of course is in Spain; he may get his suits from Savile Row in London W1

Savile Park (Calderdale) and Savile Town (Kirklees) exist as does Saville in the Orkneys.

Haven't got this quiz, but my understanding is that the question is just 'marathon man'. If that's the case, there's no reason why it can't be him as he currently is the organiser for the London Marathon
