Can I throw in Dances With Wolves
(don't think that's been mentioned yet)
Why didn't I "get" Witnail and I? By the way it should be Withnail and Me!
The Shining and Far from the Madding Crowd.

Dr Zhivago and West Side Story
DJHawkes - Many thanks for both your excellent replies. Any idea how I could get a copy of the film?. I'm a doddery old semi-literate computer git.

Cape Fear. The Robert de Niro version
Question what you like Robkep.
FoTN is a great film and if your snobbery makes you distance yourself from me because I think that then so be it.
Yeah Noth! FotN is a great film despite your dubiously sourced 'facts' about it!
"You wish to depart hostile alien environment?"
Who is Noth? And having just sat through Juno for the first time, I might be inclined to add that to the list..

To be honest, it is impossible to restrict oneself to just 10 :)
Fargo
Sorry Lazygun, that was me confusing RobKep with someone else here.
Pulp Fiction
M
The Dirty Dozen
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen
Sarah's Key
Avatar
The Red Balloon
Let The Right One In
Bicycle Thieves
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Billy Elliot
Thelma and Louise

Oooops, that's 12 - but very difficult to restrict it to that, let alone 10. So this list is pre-decimalisation (yes, I do remember that).
Question Author
Salmon fishing in the Yemen is another on my to do list:)
Thank you everyone, lots of new ones for my list xx
i have a list of 100 and counting. but for your question here goes
It's a Wonderful Life
Gladiator
You Can't Take it with you
Wizard of Oz
Seabiscuit
Casablanca
Amelie
The Quiet Man
The Shawshank redemption
It's a Matter of Life and Death
part from the first one, the others can be in any order
'nine queens' is a must. (argentinian film)
//Age shouldn't really come into it//

yes it should. A film rating system is designated to classify films with regard to suitability for audiences in terms of issues such as sex, violence, substance abuse, profanity, impudence or other types of mature content - this is designed to help parents decide whether a movie is suitable for their child.

From your posts, I assume that you are not an adult, so therefore age DOES come into it. If you were to buy a 15 classified or 18 movie, when you are not, the seller could face a £5,000 fine and potentially up to six months imprisonment.
