Pigs in muck

Thanks Danny but it doesn't fit the letters. Thanks also to "too good to hurry" but I already have "a pig in muck" for a different question of "As happy as (1,3,2,4)". Can you reconcile the two questions?
1. Mice in Malt ?
Must learn to count
The nose on A Face
Mice at play
Two coats of a paint
Ignore that last one !!
Question Author
Mazie, "mice in malt" is very good. Apparently it's an old German saying. Thanks very much. Emeritus, you may well be right with "the nose on a face" but it doesn't really flow n'est-ce-pas?
Happy to help Vimto. Good luck with the quiz
