choosing a song
5 Answers
funny question I guess but hey...I started singing lessons last night and have to pick a song for next time that I'd like to sing and learn properly. I'm female in my 40's and don't want to pick anything too adventurous or something I'll get fed up of quickly. Any ideas and what would you pick?

My favourite song to sing at the moment is Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, or a sweeter version by Jeff Buckley. I know they're men but I'm a girl and I can sing it! Also, consider where your voice is pitched. One fine Day is beautiful but no point trying to master it if you're a contralto!
