Tiles

Has anyone hand painted (designs) on fireplace tiles? the tiles are to go behind a woodburning fire, so will need to withstand a lot of heat.

I believe you can get ceramic paints for painting tiles. You have to give them a couple of days to harden, I seem to recall. Even so, not sure if they'd stand that level of heat. Check out websites of paint suppliers for information.
