Chatterbank Closed!

I see on a thread that chatterbank got closed down in the early days! Was it too threatening or something else?

It was full of trolls and lots of arguments. People just moved to B&S though and continued trolling and arguing.

Chatterbank these days is tame compared to how it has been in the past (and the Body and Soul days). It went, it came back and even then there were trolls and trouble, some of the drama on here these days is nothing to some of the things I've seen over the years.

It was argued for some time with the then purveyors of AnswerBank to establish some sort of interactive section. It went downhill almost immediately and was closed for quite a while before it was finally opened once again... it seems to me that it may have been shut down yet again before reaching its prsent iteration.

But... on the upside, one could easily use italics, underline and colors when posting. It added a lot ... well., individualsim and color when the interchange became heated... A lot of us, including yours truly refused to participate... it was on the wrong side of the tracks so to speak... (It has gained only a slightly better reputation).

It used to be quite fun and then it got awful sometimes, with I remember one member sending emails to the then Ed threatening legal action!! I'm glad it's back.
