Just sent OH to send a T shirt in a large envelope through the post to a local address. 2.80 2nd class, it hardly weighs anything!
Privatise the Royal Mail ASAP!

it would have been £2.20 a few weeks ago, they've changed it all now.

Privatization isn't going to work. At least not without regular public handouts to the rich 'friends of the government' that buy in. Commercial firms have already been allowed to cherry pick the profitable bits, the rest left with the PO now has to reflect costs. No one sane would want to take on the ownership and responsibilities of that without a promised regular contribution. And judging by the railways privatisation isn't going to reduce prices anyway.
