Actually I bet Katherine Jenkins gets the gig, St Pauls is bigger than westminster abbey, which is why Charles and Di got married there, but wonder why the funeral is being held there, Westminster Abbey has the place where MBEs etc have the right to be buried, anyway, it's going to cost a packet, do soldiers sailors and airmen get extra money for lining the route? My ex hubby lined the route in london for the Queens silver jubilee and he didn't get overtime as they are paid from midnight til 11.59.

As a rule, HM Forces don't get paid extra for public duties (you are deemed as being paid 24/7) but I believe some get paid ED(Extra Duties) money, usually Regimental Bands who play at certain sporting events, or state visits/functions etc.
