having trouble starting my lawn mower ,tried cleaning plug,no joy,i think the engine may have flooded while trying to start, any answers please thank you
Anytime you've flooded the engine (indicated by fuel running out near or under the carburetor), open the throttle fully and with the ignition off, pull through with the starter rope several times (or engaging the electric starter if so equipped).
Or, of course, one could just walk away and leave it for about 10 or 15 minutes...
When these things happen I do as Clanad says: walk away, go and get yourself a cup of tea then try again. Mind you this is only when I've just been using it, I can't understand how you could have flooded it on getting it started.
Mind you, never tip your lawn mower on the side of the oil as the petrol will get in there. The oil filter will then need cleaning etc
