I would love to think that IF and WHEN this guy is finally ejected from this country- he AND his family will foot the bill for eight years worth of legal costs AND any benefits! But then again, would that be just 'pie in the sky'?

Well, he has never been prosecuted for any crime. Yet he has spent the last decade locked up without any trial. Why on earth should he pay for that?

The Government has spent close on £1million failing to deport him. Again, that isn't really his fault, he has just defended himself (and won, so far). Maybe we should hold our Home Secretarys to account for wasting our money?

M15 used him as an informer and protected him from being sent back to Jordan, which might explain why the Jordanians aren't much interested in helping us now.

Any one care to name what crime he has committed to warrant deportation?

"Any one care to name what crime he has committed to warrant deportation?

the previous appeal judges said "theres is no doubt he is an extremely dangerous man"

they obviously have far more knowledge on this scumbucket than you do.

As long as we can eventually get this threat to the UK out it will have been worth every single penny, its peanuts in the scale of things
oh yeah , apart from entering the country illegally or doesnt that count in your little book of "reasons to let a dangerous threat stay in the UK"
// the previous appeal judges said "theres is no doubt he is an extremely dangerous man" //

So no, you cannot name a crime that he should be deported for.

He entered illegally but claimed asylum which made him legal.

Ok Gromit, -who is paying for the family's keep?
Surely he will be subject to the Benefits Cap - - - - or maybe not!
We are.

It is difficult to earn a living and support your family when you are locked up for twelve years without a trial or even being charged.
Qatada is a convicted terrorist having been found guilty of involvement in two terrorist conspiracies in 1999 / 2000 and wanted by the Jordanians where he faces a retrial.

Did I read somewhere that Qatada cannot go to work - 'cos he has a back back?
"he AND his family will foot the bill for eight years worth of legal costs AND any benefits"

So give him something for free and then penalise him for it when he's extradited for a crime committed abroad?

How exactly does that work and more to the point would our friends in Strasbourg allow this?

Do we have 'friends' in Strasbourg?
"Did I read somewhere that Qatada cannot go to work - 'cos he has a back back?"

I don't know, have you researched this to see whether it's true or are you going off hearsay or one of the failures we call tabloid newspapers?
I use the term "friends" very loosely.
Hre you are MrL

The 52-year-old, who claimed incapacity benefit in 2008 for his bad back, recently moved with his wife and four children to the three-bedroom home in the Harrow area after winning his latest appeal against being deported to his native Jordan.

The Al Qaeda ally reportedly pays £1,400 a month for the property - funded through state unemployment benefits.

£1,400 a month? - that's practically all of his new benefit cap allowance.

With a bit of luck he will starve to death - eventually.

Sirprize in all fairness you could've just made that up so please state the source or provide a link next time also you should've posted this earlier rather than assuming that you've "Possibly read this somewhere" which could've been an embarrassing damp squib.

For those of you that want the source, the link and the whole story here it is and surprise surprise it's from the daily fail.

Well i'm off for spot of supper so good reading and good evening.
Come back when you have less time MrL
Sir.prize,

He claimed incapacity benefit in 2008. That is past tense and five years ago. How long did he claim? Is he still claiming? Can he claim IB in prison?
Qatada's estimated £50,000 is almost double the new Benefits Cap.

Could he soon be moving to a house near you?
