Removing Felt Tip From A Painted Wall...
10 Answers
I'm painting my daughters room and am doing bright white over the existing creamy colour.
She drew on the wall (using purple felt tip) but I was able to cover over this with the creamy coloured paint - which left no sign of the doodles.
However, now I've just started painting with the white, the purple pen marks are showing through? No idea how this has happened, as there was no sign of it before I started.
Anyway, what's the best way to remove the felt tip? Obviously I need to get through 5 or 6 layers of paint first, but I this seems to be the only way around it.
Any ideas much appreciated.

Yep, stain blocker from Wickes/B&Q. You'll find it easily enough. Or... have a look in your shed for some white OIL-based undercoat (water-based won't quite do it). One or maybe two coats of undercoat is the old way of blocking stains.
