It's the old firm that was called maples I think
Originally called Mullard Furniture Industries and was named after the founder's wife, whose maiden name was Mullard.

More Furniture Ideas
I used to drive trucks for them years ago and we always called it 'Made for Idiots!'
Most Flatpacks Infuriate (just as WHSmith stands for Won't Have Smutty Mags In The House).
Made for idiots!
Its for when you pay on the never never ie "More F*****g Interest"
as Gary Baldy said it's Mullard furniture Industries
Most Fittings Included

To me the iniials MFI always sounds like some kind of palimilitary organisation, even though we know it as the flat pack furniture superstore.

I know that I should start a new thread on this, but it is on a tangent with this one: does anyone knows what DFS stands for? I always thought that it was Delivery Furniture Superstore or something...

On the subject of new threads....

DFS stands for Derbyshire Furniture Stores (I worked with the daughter at one time - in Derbyshire - but the "Derbyshire" in the name actually referred to the family surname)
