Had an interesting chat with one of their reps in Morrisons. Tried to con me into switching to them from Scottish Power.
1. They take your details and fill out a small form with you average units etc, then they phone boss on mobile and get you a quote. (Do not give your name, etc)
2, They claim that the price given is an exclusive for Morrisons and ask for you details.
3, However the p*ss start flowing when, as I did, I ask them just for the unit price list only, as I wanted to work out my own current electric Bill with their figures.
Suddenly the paperwork became a legal document (her words) I knew she was talking p*ss and told her so, and took the legal document (not) and the list which I had asked from her.
4, Please beware folks, I knew what she was up to and when I nabbed her the customer service smile became a frown and she could not wait to get me and my partner away and away from ear shot of other customers.
Good on you LochNess! OH is easily sold to and always think he is getting a great deal, so I often end up with suppliers that I have to cancel or switch back, or as I call it - mopping up after him. I'll pass on your experience and hope he learns something from it.
We had a spate of energy suppliers in our local Tesco, you couldn't walk 6 feet in the door without being accosted, I don't generally like being rude but when someone won't take no for an answer then the gloves are off. I haven't seen them lately so I can only imagine there were lots of customer complaints. As FF mentioned about the internet, Google is your friend.
