As we already know knee jerk reactions rarely work. So what do we have now in the US; sales of bullets through the roof.
I have to say the emotional questions I saw being put to workers are a little questionable to say the least. On Sky the reporter asked a worker how she would feel if one of the bullets she made killed someone' How nuts, do they also go into car manufactures and ask them how they feel if a car driven by a drunk kills someone, how about knife manufactures should we put them on the spot too?
I think here in the UK we should keep out of it. It is not our culture and we are always being told by the right-on brigade to appreciate other cultures so why can't we do that for Americans?
There is a difference; cars and knives are not made for killing; what else is a bullet made for?
The NRA are scaring people over there that their guns will be taken off them and there'll be a gun ban, during this time they're rubbing their hands while sales go up.
We now can see that there is at least a possibility that some sales of types of gun ( assult rifles) and ammunition may be restricted . The US gun owners are so paranoid about even a possible ban that they are panic buying.
As said it is ludicrous to compare guns with cars , guns have just one purpose , to kill people.
Cars can and do kill more people than guns but they are designed for transport , not as weapons.
