Circus Animals
44 Answers
People are being urged not to attend a circus near me because it uses performing animals.
The farmer who has rented the land to the circus owners has said he can't see what the fuss is about...they are not using elephants and tigers..it's horses, llamas, cats, dogs and snakes....so that's okay??????
Has anyone seen a performing llama...do llamas enjoy it?

Most people don't want to see animals forced to perform for our entertainment and I definitely don't! A circus was in my home town fairly recently with animals and there were a lot of protests about it, and I was there protesting too !
It was ten years ago that I last went to a circus and took my grandchildren, I think it was a French production with your bog standard circus tent, but no animals. The master of ceremonies never spoke a word he did it all by face and body language and a whistle. One of the most entertaining shows I had seen and I am old enough to remember the circus coming to town - literally - with a parade of elephants, horses, lions and tigers (the latter two in cages) showgirls, trapeze artists, clowns and a ring-master and of Robert Brothers, Chipperfields Circus two name but two.
