I have an eight month moggie kitten. I feed him two and a half sachets of kitten food daily plus a small bowl of kitten crunches.
Every time I go into the kitchen he follows me in and sits by his food bowl even if it is only minutes since I last fed him looking for more food.
He has recently been given a worming tablet so it can't be worms troubling him.Do you think I am giving him enough food I don't want him to be a literal "fat cat"
Any advice appreciated

My cat is the same. He's not happy unless his bowl is full regardless of how hungry he is.
My first cat used to only ask for food when hungry. So with my second cat I'd give her food on demand and noticed she was getting fat. Now; she gets food on morning and evening and understands that. if she wants more food she can go and hunt for it. However, now she's getting older I wonder if she doesn't have alzheimers....

Mine eats a few biscuits, then goes mental for more, in her mind, it's now obviously very empty and she's going to starve to death as she's eaten 3 biscuits from it.

I did however discover she'd eaten half a fruit cake yesterday as well.
welcome to the world of cats - take note .....dogs have owners, cat's have slaves.
Whats the recommendation on the sachets you are feeding for a cat/kitten of his age and weight - (have you weighed him recently?) maybe he needs to be upped to adult. His worming programme needs to be consistent as I'm sure you know but could it be that he simply hasn't had enough? (beware though- cats are devious) - does he look good, a bit skinny, thin? - only you can say

Thank you all for your advice.
I am going to up his intake to three sachets a day. Morning, dinnertime and night, plus his crunchies and ignore his asking for more, and that will be that for the time being. I rescued him from absolute filth, he was locked in a back room where you could hardly get in for cat faeces, poor little soul. My vet gave him a good examination and apart from ear mites he was found to be healthy, so perhaps he was always hungry and now he has a right softie in tow he is making up for lost meals!!!!
