I'm sure I read somewhere a few weeks ago that they were filming.

Does anyone know if/when they will repeat the first series?

I only saw the last two programmes and wish I'd seen them all.

Of the 3 episodes to comprise series 3:

Episode 1, The Empty Hearse, began filming on 18th March 2013 and completed principal photography four weeks later on 15th April, at which point post-production could commence.

Episode 2, The Sign of Three, began filming 22nd April and is expected to continue well into May.

A break of a few weeks will occur (scheduling conflicts of both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman) before the third and final episode will be shot.

Well, it will not be on before autumn and not even the production company can give a broadcast date if it isn't made yet.

bednobs, looking at ABerrant's answer I missed the whole of the first series and the first episode of the second.

I'm such a ditz.

I don't have Alibi, it's one of those fancy pants sky channels and I'm too tight to pay for it! But thanks anyway.

That's a very kind offer, bednobs. I'd be terrified that it would get lost in the post or some disaster would happen whilst in my possession, so I think I'll hunt online to watch it.
