New Browswer Choice Qns
8 Answers
Hi Folks,
Just having a bit of a tidy up on desktop and clicked on "Browser Choice" and was met by all the usual ones and this new one I've never seen before called Maxthon Browser.
Two quick questions, 1)Is it part owned by Google, i.e. does google get data on peoples searching using this Maxthon Browser? (I think Google have way too much data on us all already!!!)
") If I don't do cloud based thingy things (not understanding all that business yet) then will I constantly be asked to sync or to log into cloud etc??
when I had a read about on http:// www.max thon.co m/about -us/ I just got more confused!! All help much appreciated Please explain in plain English.
Many thanks in advance.
Mitchell

I have heard of the Maxthon browser but what I heard was that it's popularity is restricted to China : I have no idea why though.
Here's a link to browser statistics http:// www.w3s chools. com/bro wsers/b rowsers _stats. asp
As you can see Chrome is the most popular - I would say because it's fast and now has plenty of add-ons available. A problem with browsers that allow add-ons is that they become slower the more you add on. Another problem with Chrome is privacy : a more private and more secure version of Chrome is Comodo Dragon.
Other browsers are slower but probably more secure than Chrome.
Internet Explorer is useful because it usually shows most pages properly. Some products (Real Player for example) can't work without it ; some can't update without it.
