How To Connect Epson Xp 305 To Netbook
10 Answers
Got ourselves another new toy yesterday,an Epson XP 305 all in one printer.I got it connected to the Vaio laptop no problem, but the poor old net book is another matter (samsung N145 plus)
I am probably missing something obvious, but because the net book does not have a DVD drive,I have no idea how to connect it to the printer. The instructions are all well and good, but they state that the drivers for the printer must be installed, and, because of no DVD drive I don't know how.
So,how,in VERY easy terms,do I connect the netbook?
They are both running windows 7 and I think are on the same homegroup network.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Aya

If you had bought a wireless printer, and you have a wireless router, you could have connected the printer to the router via wi fi.
Then connected the netbook (and laptop) to the printer via wi fi.
Then you would not need the DVD as it would download the drivers to the netbook for you.
And you could print to the printer from both laptop and netbook with no wires.

>>>What, a wireless printer a little like the one the have bought!
>>>No, a magic wireless printer that doesn't need drivers.
I looked on one web site and it did not mention this printer being wireless.
Of course you need drivers, but when I setup my wireless printer I did not need to insert a DVD as the drivers were already included within Windows (or downloaded from the web, cant remember exactly).
