I received an email from Paypal headed " you have sucessfully lifted your Paypal withdrawal limit..."
I only use PP for buying so all transactions are from my bank account...so no seperate balance for funds from selling.
Why would I get this notification?
I've not opened the email.
It's an email not a bomb, how else are you meant to know whether it's real if you don't open it?
From what i understand is you can open emails but ain't meant to click on links in the email or download anything, well this is what i do and never had any probs.
Have you recently confirmed your account pasta? They put two small amounts in your account and you confirm it on the PayPal website (I have done this, but had to wait for my full bank statement before I could confirm the fact). I have had the same e-mail from PayPal.
paypal is having a lot of problems with spam email at the moment.
I tried to phone them about a problem yesterday and could not get through, there was a phone message saying they were having a very high call volume due to all the spoof emails.
If you are not sure just forward the email to spoof@paypal they will get back to you and tell you if it is genuine or not.
Yep. Paypal spam is as common as muck. If a mail has an link and you hover your mouse pointer over it and watch the url in the bottom left corner (in windows Mail) it will show you were that will take you if you click it.
