First slow dance

Can everyone remember the first time they had a slow dance with a boy or a girl?  What song was it?

 

My first slow dance, with a boy who then became my first boyfriend and my first kiss, was back in 1994 and it was Celine Dion "think twice".  Awful song, but of course I love it now! 

 

Do other people share similar affectionate memories for songs that they would otherwise dislike or probably have forgotten!?

my first slow dance was at a school dance. i don't remember the song but i remmber the dance. but i think i'll hold that one close to my heart!!!!!! but i was 15yrs old.he was just a good friend of mine!

Mine was at a school disco waaaay back in 1985 with a rather lovely girl called Lara. I wonder whatever happened to her! Anyway, the song was One More Night by Phil Collins. I must have liked her, 'cos I can't stand Phil Collins :-)

Mine was when I was 9 in 1992 with my first boyfriend (who went on to dump me on Valentine's day but gave me a doughnut to cheer me up).  I can't think of the song at the moment though.  He was a huge Michael Jackson fan (bet he's not admitting to that nowadays!) so quite possibly one of his.

mine wouldve been either, George Michael - Careless Whisper or Spandau Ballet - True, as they WERE the industry standard last dance tunes at school discos in '84.

Mine was China In Your Hand by T'Pau back in 1987.  Like OBonio, I didn't fancy the boy, just desperate to snog someone!

There was a brilliant (not slow) song called 'Welcome to the Monkey House' by Animal something or other. The dance involved holding a girls hands and walking backwards and forwards. Even I could do that and it was a way of dancing with girls without being smoochy. The first dance and kiss I remember was to 'Crazy for you' by Madonna (1985). I loved that girl you know (Nicola, not Madonna) for oooooh, all of 2 weeks.
