I love a good jumble .

Me too anne. We have loads in the surrounding villages. I only go to the villages where rich people live though.
I haven't been to a jumble sale for a very long time, I used to love them but as far as I know they don't hold them round here.
Question Author
daffy, try checking out noticeboards outside church halls etc
daffy, I think they now have more car boot sales.
I will do that mrs_o. I think maybe they don't have them because in our village we have at least 6 charity shops and we get loads of those 'charity' bags through the door every week so people just give stuff away instead of saving it until there is a jumble.

I love a wee look around a charity shop. especially in 'posh' areas !1.
Brilliant Mrs. O- well done!!
Question Author
I tend to avoid charity shops these days as the ones in our town are so very expensive. In one, I saw a Primark jumper for sale. It still had its original price tag on and the charity shop were selling it for even more than that!
gawd, that mrs overload is as tight as a ducks arse.
Question Author
Awwww, thanks for the compliment tony xx
Doh.
Morning MrsO....Do you ever stop and wonder about something that's been said for yonks without thinking? I mean...who first discovered that a duck had a tight bottom...and how did he....I guess it was a he...discover it? x
Question Author
Hiya Gness xx
If the saying had been about the tightness of a goats bottom, I would have said the saying originated in the Midlands.
If it had been about a sheep, it would have come from Cornwall.
Ducks....I dunno
Aylesbury perhaps ^^
