I did my run on the Olympic run in Calgary, coming down quicker than the Jamaicans, though we didn't get to push off and jump in. "Two last things: don't stick your hands out of the protective cage and if the sled happens to roll over, ride it out on the cage roof and we'll give you a second run" - and in came the push.....

the effect going down is like taking your hands and banging them on to your ears as hard as you can.
for the first two corners it's easy going; you start thinking, "what is this all about" and then you hit the first of those >120º turns and you are literally catapulted out of that turn....yeah and wheee.

I'd love to try a bobsleigh! I used to have a kamikaze (not the actual meaning!) nickname when I was younger as used to do lots of rock climbing (abseiling without a safety rope, prussiking etc...) and was an RAF cadet do did shooting and basic flying and gliding training and had a bit of a thing for aerobatics save the main part of a stall turn (dip down then go straight up vertical then twist and come down in a spiral - the g-force smacking you in the stomach in the twist is a killer seeing as you have to try and keep the plane flying and all). I'd love love love to go in a fighter jet!
Did various other stuff, gorge-walking, kayaking, canoeing etc...
Always fancied doing a parachute jump, white water rafting and having a go in one of those big ball things though I think fear and realisation of mortality has set in more as I get older, that and hobbling about with a walking stick anyway :)
Bungee jumping doesn't appeal though, I have a thing about my ankles being fixed (similar with snowboarding to an extent) and would rather go down and stay down, not so keen on the boinging bit. Bit like rides I guess, would rather go on a ridiculously loopy rollercoaster than one of those things that shoots you up in the air.

Not sure if you have to be qualified for certain things, which is quite worrying!
I did wonder when I went to Go Ape some years ago as after a short demo on how to hook and unhook your karabiners and such they then leave groups on their own and it seemed very unsupervised considering how potentially dangerous some of it could be if people don't follow the instructions properly or are not taking it seriously.

In an attempt to cure my morbid fear of heights, I decided to do a bungee jump. I stood on the little platform atop a 75ft crane and the man with me had to prise my fingers off the rail and then he pushed me off.
I couldn't speak for an hour and then the only word I could say was "gin." I don't know why I said it as I hate the stuff.
When I did the bungee jump (or should it be bungee push?) I had a strap around my ankles and afterwards I felt as if my ankles were dislocated.
Not one of my better ideas

Hubby and I both did it 15 years ago. I questioned my sanity then! I thought the senation was a bit like my head touching the water, my eyeballs carrying on to hit the river bed while I was on the way back up! Once was enough for me, hubby did it twice. It was an experience, and I'd say, if you get the chance, DO IT!!!
I watched people jumping from a crane in East London, along came macho man complete with tattoos posing for pics doing the Atlas pose and boy was he a "mouth almighty" as he went to the top whilst everyone waited to see him jump, well he did not ! was brought down crying like a baby with a brown trail behind him. It was so embarrassing the crowd dispersed.
