Thank you all so, so much! I got a bottle from next door's bin but couldn't seem to make a good enough seal. The hose I had seemed a bit short so I sacrified 6' from my garden hose and did the..put it in the pond..fill..finger over and flip. Only had to try twice and it worked...it was like turning on a tap!
I poured wine and then let watering cans fill while I sat and watched. I have watered all my garden and part of next door's. The last foot or so of water is now trickling down the lawn.
The smaller pond I did last week was back breaking with a bucket...this one I could sit and get a little squiffy while it emptied!
It is so much fun...I want to empty all the neighbours ponds now.
I will find a bottle to fit to try the video instructions again as visiting children will love to learn how to do that. The last thing I taught them was how to make a volcano with talc.
Well, who wants a Grandma who just bakes?!
Thank you all again...I'm so happy...Gx
