Drink Prices

I know that pubs are going out of business fast these days but I wonder if they are bringing it on themselves, I say this because over the weekend I offered to drive so that others in our group could have alcoholic drinks whilst I only had Coke out of those postmix dispensers and was absolutely stunned when the barman charged me £2.10 for half a pint or if you like £4.20 per pint,
bearing in mind that there is NO DUTY on soft drinks this is what I call a total rip off as a pint of real ale was selling in the same pub for £2.90 that's £1.30 less than the same measure of Coke or Lemonade, how can pubs justify this?
