If it's a Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossed with an American Pitbull Terrier, it's going to look like a very big Staffordhire Bull Terrier.
Or on the other hand if it is a cross between a Staffy & a Chihuahua, the mind boggles.

WR.
Yes, send a pic. WR, Staffie crossed with a chihuahua, indeed ! You'd know that cross because you'd get very nasty bites in the ankle.
If you are in the UK and you think your dog is crossed with a Pitbull I would keep quiet about it - at present they are still listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act as a 'type' dog (i.e. Pitbull type) and can be seized by the police on sight. I would ensure you have it neutered, insured and muzzled in public and make enquiries about getting him put on the register of excluded dogs. I would add I have no problem with such dogs but for your own peace of mind you would be doing all that is required under the law as he can be removed from you and destroyed if deemed to be 'of type' without ever having so much as licked anybody, such is the stupidity of Breed Specific Legislation. If you believe he is part Staffie then try to ensure you can prove that, as it would be a defence should he be seized. Maybe photos of his mum/dad if you can get them?
Sorry mean Register of Exempted Dogs (not excluded!).
Like Lankeela rightly said, if the the Police even suspect a pit bull X he could be seized, only because he is that "type".

I think that your dog would be very difficult to identify the X breeds if they were both bull terriers types.
Just read up and you cannot apply to have your dog registered on the Index of Exemoted dogs yourself, it can only be done after a court hearing, but my previous advice of having him neutered, muzzled and insured (and also microchipped) still stands as it would prove you are a responsible owner.
