Operation Crossbow, featuring the wartime role of 3D photography, was shown recently. The programme mentioned how a vital piece of machinery was obtained from Switzerland. It sounded like a "Welt" machine - can anyone give me any further details please ?

'Wild' is the name. You'll see it on the legs of those orange and yellow surveyors tripods on construction sites. Being Swiss, it's pronounced more like 'Vilt', Have a look on Google for 'wild stereo mapping'. Here's the backgound...
