So sitting in bed last night, I ordered "that book".

The one in the News.

I've read the twelve or so books by the journalists who were there (and a few who weren't), and Meredith's father's book, and also Raffaele Sollecito's book ("Honour Bound") ... in which he revealed that Prosecutor Mignini had offered to drop the charges against Raff, if Raff would agree to falsify his evidence, and sign a new "statement" (prepared by Mignini) incriminating Amanda Knox. Raff said that he was not prepared to buy his freedom by helping Mignini to falsify a case against Amanda, and felt "honour bound" to reject Mignini's proposal, and to stick to the truth ... even though it meant risking prison.

So now, Amanda's own book has been published. But not in the UK yet, so I've ordered it from the US. Watch this space.

far as I'm concerned she can write as she pleases about it; she's the one who's suffered, while others have got rich from her.

It may be a while before the book actually arrives.
Somewhere in any of these books is there some hint at the truth ?
My very first recollection of the whole saga was a small report in the Times stating that "A British student had been found murdered in Italy... no sexual motive was suspected"
A bit of a non event, so it would suggest; that was, apparently not the case.
The DM has already been pointing out discrepancies between the book and the letters she wrote in prison.
I still think she's guilty..................
^^^
Not the place for that discussion........
But I agree
my feeling at the time and now. is that she knows more about the death than she has ever admitted.
I'm at a loss to understand how anyone could be so interested in this case to devote their time to reading 13 books on it. Incredible.
JJ, she can write what she likes, I refuse to buy a book which helps her to profit from the situation. I think it's appalling that she's published.
In fairness I think if I had been accused of this, not done it, been found 'not guilty' but still had all this lurid speculating hanging over me, along with the world and his wife putting their version of things and profiting from it, I think I might very well publish a book of my account. I think most people would in fact. Whether she did it or not only she knows but she was found ' not guilty'. Italian legal practice is shambolic at best and corrupt at worst so any trial and retiral could be wrong in either direction.

It's difficult to criticise someone merely for writing a book about "the situation" because ...

(1) if she didn't, half the world would say she was hiding something.

(2) Meredith's father John Kercher has also done the "appalling" thing of writing a book about the situation and making a profit.
I don't understand this obsession with writing books about everyone's experiences. I'm not interested in it so I won't buy it anyway, but I know you are, JJ

I wonder how long a book takes to come from the US.

I don't often buy books from the US.

I bought Agatha Christie's Three Blind Mice (ie The Mousetrap) from the US, because it's not allowed to be sold here ... not even on Amazon (.co.uk)
