Watching coast and told a story about ship wrecked sailors who killed a poorly cabin boy, who was near death anyway and drank his blood to survive.
I thought having a different blood type to your own was dangerous and could kill you ?
Or is this for only transfused blood , rather than digested blood ?

just transfused
Only transfused blood.
I may be wrong (God knows I'm used to it...), but I think consuming large enough quantities of human blood is bad for you anyway. Not that I've tried it.

I suppose if you are desperate enough you try anything.

If you could only eat your own blood group ... a rare steak could be tricky.
want a recipe.....

If digested was a problem everyone who eats black pudding (or similar) would have problems !

True about black pudding.
Yuk however.

So my vampire activities can resume then.
"ship wrecked sailors who killed a poorly cabin boy, who was near death anyway and drank his blood to survive."

That is so gross, I'd rather die than do this.
people do anything to survive
The Andes Plane crash made for gruesome reading, the film was nearly as good. I suppose if you are starving and cold you'd contemplate eating anything. I think it was Frobisher the explorer in the North Pole whose crew chewed on the leather of their boots to get some sort of nourishment.
