why is my computer slow?

does any one know why my computer would have suddenly gone really slow. the internet takes ages to load up. i can access all the things i need but at a really slow pace. anyone any ideas? thanks in advance

Is the whole computer slow or just internet?

Many "unlimited" ADSL connections revert to dialup speed for the rest of the billing period after exceeding the download quota .

thanks for that maybe thats what it is then as my bill is due to be paid tommorow, will see if it speeds up once the new billing period starts

You could have other sites downloading to your pc while online.

Check your Connections - Tools/Options/Advanced/browser.
