Hi

I have yet another question folks.
Husband and I have split up, he is demanding that I give him the washer, fridge freezer and television straight away.
The washer and fridge freezer are an HP purchase under his name, the tv was a gift.
We have 3 very small children and obviously need these, as at the moment I can't afford to replace them.
Does anyone know if I have to hand these over to him?
Many Thanks

I split from my Wife and I was only allowed to take pesonal belongings until a court decides otherwise. Even if the purchaese were in my name, white goods are considered shared. The fact some of them are on HP means they dont belong to your husband until the final payment anyway. You could claim legal aid ( dont know if you work or not) and then visit the county court and get a non-molestation order or better still a solicitors letter
go to the local tip and get some old broken ones...and deliver them to his house...i'll bet you any money he will not be able to indentify them as not the ones in your house, lol

seriously though, try the ads in local papers...you can but them for £50-odd these days
nope - as husband you both share ownership of everything......he has nowt till divorce.
As the bills are in his name - he keeps them :)
who would want to take things like that espically when children are involved!
Send any bailiffs to his new address and dont let them into your home - police take a dim view of kids being disturbed !
Dont part with anything until you absolutly have to. Why should you be handwashing clothes cooking cleaning worrying about fresh food having to go to shops everyday for perishibles with 3 young ones to care for. No No NO get advice and dont just give in because he is a bully.
Just to make you all aware, the OP opened multiple catalogue accounts in my name without my knowledge and had them for in excess of 18 months. This was because she wasn't able to open them in her own name due to a terrible credit history. I only found out about them when applying to switch my credit card to a 0% balance card and was refused as these "accounts" showed up and there were multiple payments missed, pretty much shredding my credit history.

The "washing machine, fridge freezer" etc, were bought BEFORE she started opening other accounts without my knowledge, ordering women's clothing in numerous different sizes and selling it onto friends who like her could not get credit.

The "attack" happened when we were on a night out and my drink was spiked, by someone that she was having an on-going dispute with and I had no control over my actions (the fact that I got bound over for £100) testifies to that.

Something else she failed to mention was during all of this, she was having an affair.

Save your thoughts for someone who actually deserves it.
