Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast? If afterwards, how long do you leave it before brushing? also, if you use mouthwash, do you use it straight after brushing or at another time?
I get up rinse my mouth out with plain water, then have breakfast then brush my teeth and mouthwash. Same at lunch and dinner and then again before bed.
Never brush straight after eating, some foods soften the enamel and if your clean them it can cause damage. So depends on when and what I am having for breakfast. Usually use mouthwash in my water flosser which I do just before cleaning.
I seem to remember being told by a dentist that small holes in the enamel can mend themselves. There is an ad on TV at the moment which refutes this. Does anyone have any info on this?
Anngel, soft spots do mend themselves is you change your routine but not actual holes but due to technology some fillings are performed before there is an actual cavity at the start of tooth decay. Apparently dentists don't wait long enough on the whole.
