PDF download from the WEB

I download a PDF file,after a few moments the word done appears on the screen,but nothing is there apart from a small rectangular box in the top left corner,in this box are 3 symbols,a red square,a blue triangle and a blue circle.What does this mean and why canI not down a PDF file?

Do you have the latest version of Acrobat reader? Are you using Internet Explorer - check security settings in both.

All Pdfs take a long time to download as they are graphics files rather than text files. And there is nothing to tell you whether the download is happening or somethings broken down! If you are on dial five minutes is not unusual for a large file and even on broadband you can sit stareing at a blank white page for a couple of minutes!
