Grandma or the teacher. My granddaughter is visiting on her way home from school and informs me that her teacher was explaining "Three strikes and you are out."
I thought it came from baseball and I have heard it used by politicians.
Teacher says it comes from the days when criminals could have three chances before being severely punished for doing something wrong.
Do you know which it is?

i watched a film a while back, a drama as opposed to a documentary, and the protagonist was a criminal but petty stuff, he was fitted up for one crime, did something silly for the second and third and consequently got a life to mean life, three strikes and you are out sentence, it wasn't a particularly good film but the consequences of the actions of stealing a loaf of bread as the third crime, it wasn't that, but trivial, then spending the rest of his days behind bars sent chills down my spine.
'Please miss, my grandma says you're wrong'
