Battery Draining.
My kawasaki er-5 battery keeps draining, it all started when I washed the bike the other day and put an aux socket on the battery, ran fine until the next day pulled over and wouldn't start. Got it jump started after notiong the auxhillary charger metal bit was very close to the negative terminal. and away I went, got home after a 10 minute ride, tried restarting bike. Just got the clicky noise coming from the battery. Jumped it again and left it running for about 45 mins and attempted restart, no luck. Have had battery on optimiser until full health showing, been fine for one day then today it died on me again, have done research and tested alternator from battery terminals using a multimeter, voltage doesn't change between not being running and then idling and revving too. Just stays at around 12.42v most of the time. Have been told this is either alternator or regulator/rectifier. Are there any fuses that I could try first that could have been blown by either the aux charger or by water as a result of washing the bike. I did spray water in the direction of the rectifier so connectors would have got wet. Any advice welcome. TIA
