My geography is not that good but you have Brighton, Bournemouth and Southend (probably more) to choose from. Then there's the End of the Pier Show which would be good for a few tacky shots. Fathers and sons are always fishing off them with tins full of ragworms and other unspeakable bait. Giant chess and Chequers played on the wooden floor.
You can still see the occasional hankies on heads with the rolled up trousers. Couples drinking tea from a thermos, bright red faces slurping on dripping icecream cones. The possibilities are endless, so there's a few more ideas. Good luck for the competition and let us know how you get on!
Tea on the lawn, croquet, people in an old country pub enjoying warm beer ! Shirehorses..the village cricket match. If you can find any old fashioned shops, for example ..ironmongers ,they do still exist ,although few and far between.Plus that famous British pastime..queueing...at bus stops and other various places. The seaside is a great subject for photography as Cetti so rightly says. Living by the sea myself and in a tourist resort you tend to see British eccentricity at it's best.Good luck with your project.
