Sainsbury's cafe
10 Answers
I just wanted to share this with you. I was in the cafe with 10 KS4 kids, they all had 1.40 to spend. Two girls wanted to share a pot of tea for 1 so asked for 2 cups. Guess what?? They were not allowed! The lady said that if they were given 2 cups "everybody would want one and I might run out of cups". If I had not been busy losing my rag I may have split my sides with laughter. By the way we got our 2nd cup.

IAP the cups are behind the counter in ours. I felt like asking the assistant wiping tables if I could have a cup, however I did not want her to get into unnecessary trouble over me. ( A CUP!!!) You have a valid point over them being from a contract catering firm though. I am always so impressed by the customer service at Sainsbury's, but when it comes to the cafe they have a reputation for really shoddy and slow service. I'm gonna look into this though. Couldn't do it at the time, with the children but it's still bugging me. Thanks.
