An Explanation Please
7 Answers
I, as a newcomer, han been reading posts on here and also having a look at member's profiles and some things puzzle me. I hope someone can explain them to me.
How long do I have to wait to put up an avatar of my own?
Why are some people suspended? What have they done to be suspended?
How long does suspension last? Does it vary for different offences, whatever they are?
I read a post that mentioned that someone was banned. How does this happen? What can cause a person to be banned? Do you get banned if you are suspended a certain number of times?
I am just curious I can assure I have no intention of doing anything to get suspended or banned.
I do hope someone can answer my questions. Thank you.

You have to wait 14 days before you can set up an avatar. People are suspended if they break rules (or banned altogether if they break a lot of rules or are repeat offenders or just trolls). They get unsuspended when the Editor feels like it, usually 2-3 days. They never get unbanned. There's a link to Site Rules at the bottom of the page.
