Where did the £80,000 come from.? I thought Eric was supposed to be broke. Didn't his wife Doris turn up at the Rovers along with her solicitor and tell Gloria not to expect anything .

You haven't missed an episode - it was all explained in the last one. She confesses she's been sat on £80k because Eric left her the money after all in a second Will.
