Does anyone have an idea about the cost of sending a parcel to NZ? It weighs approx 1.6 kilos.
Thanks!

it needs to be taken to your local post office to be weighed.they will tell you the postage price.

Thanks all of you. So quick. The quote from redman41's site was £36. Gulp. Perhaps I won't bother.
Follow postmans advice and take it to Post Office to be weighed and find out Price there.

OK. Thanks everyone. Good advice. Yes, I'll go to the post office. £13.56 sounds slightly better. I could split it, I suppose..it's a pair of shoes! What if only one arrived though. Hmm.

Eddie51. Thank you! What a help.
No, not diving boots, but they are in a shoe box! It is possble that I've got the weight wrong as I do lbs & oz and not kgs. Oh dear. Looks like off to PO for proper weighing then back to separate shoes if necessary.
What a great site. Haven't used it for ages. Thanks again all of you.

As a postman,I would say don't wrap them up in newspaper. The package could easily rip and your shoes will be lost.

This is the Royal Mail site which is useful to check overseas postage - they show surface as well as air mail http://www.royalmail....3800712&catId=400036e - but as others have said, 2Kg is the max for airmail.....
Use a large brown envelope, the kind that's lined with bubble-wrapper.
