No-one can say it's pleasant but I felt nothing during the procedure and it cured the problem. The anticipation is always worse than the event itself in my experience and dentists are better these days at dealing with nervous patients. A friend of mine always takes in some music to listen to and just plugs in her earphones - might be worth asking if you can do something like that. Good luck
karlhobart...the more relaxed you are the better...its normal to feel anxious but it will be less painful for you and easier for the dentist to do if you are relaxed. So ...if you can, before you go in "smile" think "what a walk in the park" and pretend you are acting a part & switch off completely. Distract yourself prior with nice things - nice music and just turn up & get done. Thinking about it too much I dont feel will be helpful. I'm sure you are in good hands -completely trust the dentist because you are going to have to anyway! so do and this will be the biggest relief or should I say decision...its very good to deal with this tooth as infections etc (if your tooth nerves are bruised) can cause ongoing problems - bad breath etc etc. Remember -you will be very happy afterwards. Dentists do this day in day out so know what they are doing - its very common and positive thing for your dental health. They do it to keep your tooth healthy. x
