External Hard Drive and I-tunes
Ive around about 20 gig of music on my 60gb ipod. My internal hard-drive is only 40 gig and I'm getting fed up with continually having to delete stuff (I dont like going below the 10gb remaining threshold).
If I buy an external hard-drive, how do I move all my mp3s over to it that I have on my current hard drive, so that itunes and my ipod will still find it ok???
I hope I have explained this in a way that someone can understand. I dont particularily want to have to reinstall everything again as I cant get it working using USB2 and it will take forever, and I dont want to manually manage the ipod either.

All you need to do is buy your external drive (I have an 80Gb from Maxtor), load any software that comes with it, plug it in (mine goes through my USB port), then copy your entire iTunes library to the new drive.
Once you've done that, you need to start iTunes, then click on Edit > Preferences > Advanced and you will be presented with a screen that allows you to change your iTunes music folder location.
Change it to the external drive and you're away.
As long as you unplug the external drive and store it somewhere away from your PC, you'll also have the added bonus of having a nice backup of your music (in case your PC crashes or gets nicked).
