Hi, I have a Audi A6 estate on a 'v' plate....The air conditioning seems to be giving up on me. It no longer seems to be cooling the car, infact yesterday the inside of the car become alot warmer than it should have been! At times it couldn't make up it's mind whether to blow out ice cold air which you could actually see, or toast you! I have seen posters on lamp posts advertising 're gassing' of air conditioning in cars....... Is this the way forward or is it more involved to get the air con back to it's ol' ice cold self? To be honest I am not really that bothered, I would just drive with my windows down, but the other members in my family have become used to the air con. Thanks in advance...........AudiTT.

Air con does have to be regularly serviced to keep it working, don't go to a dealer try one of the specialists they will be cheaper. Some dealers just send your car to them and charge you double!

Have a look here............ go to aircon on the left.

Good luck with it.
When mine last went like yours I rang a local refrigeration company out of the phone book and they re-gassed it for 35. Garage quoted me around 80. Pays to ask around
