Which is why in initially asked whether she'd had a psychiatric assessment Anne! Of course it's possible she's just as evilly minded as him.
I would say it was fear that made her go along with his plan.
Possibly fear ummmmm, and stupidity thinking a gallon of petrol through the letterbox wouldn't burn the house down killing 6 kids
The same fear that made her go 'dogging' despite have Mick and all the children. She seems to have some mental problems.
I just think she has a low mentality level, and probably didn't fully inderstand the possible outcome of their actions, but, there are other such people out there, and they have to be made to realise the dangers and possible loss of life from stupid actions. The judge must increase her sentance as a warning to others.
Dress her up any way you like, she's a fruit loop who could do worse than make alternative use of her bedsheet and free up a bit of oxygen for more deserving souls.
douglas, don't beat about the bush !!!!!!!!
She's been found competent enough to stand trial, be found guilty and be sentenced. She's not asking for the sentence to be overturned, simply reduced as it's "too long".

If she had pleaded guilty and helped with the conviction of Mick Philpott, then a lesser sentence would have been appropriate.

As it is, she lied (about her and his part in the death of six children) in an attempt to get them both released back into society. Given that, I think she was lucky to get only 17 years ...
Surely she had psychiatric evaluations, etc done before sentencing (don't they do reports of some kind?). Leave the bitch to rot, hopefully they will increase it.
I'm not convinced her motivation was fear. The biggest fear of normal parents is losing their children. What was she scared of that is worse than that? Her own safety?
The QC assesses the merits and otherwise of the appeal in the link. He appreciates that the Court may give it short shrift. But it is worth a run, otherwise he wouldn't advise it. .

The woman will have been the subject of psychiatric reports already, before sentence and probably before her trial
or she
Lock her away for the rest of her life is what I think.
