What a great musician. Did anyone see The Doors tour a few years back? I can't recall who they had as lead singer then, but what were they like to watch and listen to?

If memory serves, Ian Astbury from The Cult stood in for The Lizard King.

I think RM was a consumate musician - I just wish they wouldn't keep playing the extended version of Light My Fire - the organ solo is so bad it sets my teeth on edge!

Far better is Riders On The Storm, with that ethereal electric piano - pure class.

well whenever they played live, Ray would be playing Fender base with his 'wrong' hand and the synth/organ with the other.
