The salary range would vary from say �15-18k in Somerset to �20-25k in London for a CAD technician, with an increase of between �3-5k for a Senior CAD technician.

With your additional HNC you might be able to promote your case for a slightly better salary.

I started off with a HNC in construction and then went to university to do a full time degree, I value the experience of the HNC more because I was getting practical experience at the same time, so this is something you should emphasise - especially if it was in CAD/construction.
