Hello,
I'm completely stumped by 2d and 6d
2d: Sounds like reconsideration of theatrical entertainment (5).
I have s*v*e but can't find a word to fit...

6d: "flat section inside meant to be improved" (9)
I have **s*t*e*t ( perhaps **s*tment) but the only word I can find to fit is besetment, which makes no sense !

Any ideas ?

I can see why that makes sense, but I was fairly confident about the 's' which came from 1a: a mongrel is one here (6): Assisi (ass is I). The R makes that answer a*r*s*...
