Free Orange to Orange calls, but how do you know?

I get free Orange to Orange evening calls on Pay As You Go, which I'd like to take advantage of, but how do you know if the number you're calling is on Orange also??!!

The only way you'll know which of your friends are on the Orange network is to ask them! Because it's now possible to retain your number when you switch between companies, you can never be sure (from the number alone) which network the phone is on.

For what it's worth, here's a list of all the mobile codes which are allocated to Orange (but, as I've said, someone could start with Orange and transfer the number to another company):
