Does anyone know how to get rid of the flashing "spanner" on the dashboard that indicates a service is due?

Yes - get the car serviced at a garage and they will reset it.

its done by the garage when you get it serviced,there is a scart plug in your car which the garage plug into the computer and they reset it.other then that im not sure how it can be done,

If this "warning" is trying to tell you something useful why not just get the servicing done or are you saying it is not due a service yet ? If it is the latter it needs programming correctly by the garage.

Hi,

Sorry I did not see your post earlier but if your car has the same computer as my Laguna Sports Tourer it is very easy to reset your service mileage yourself as I did when I serviced my car.

You should service your car before resetting but this is not necsasary

Cycle through the computer until you get the mileage with the flashing spanner displayed and then push the small reset button on your instument panel and hold until the mileage is reset, you will now have got rid of the flashing spanner and it will read mileage to next service.

I will say again though, get your car serviced before doing this!
